Needs and Wants

This week was awesome! 

We did stained glass art. We coloured a picture of leaves with cool (blue, purple, green, black, brown) colours on the outside and warm (red, yellow & orange) colours on the inside. We rubbed oil onto the back of the picture and then it became SEE THROUGH like glass.

We are learning about our needs and wants. Our needs are houses, food, water, safety, parents, family and other things you need to survive. Our wants are things like candy, video games, chocolate, toys and other things that we like but don't NEED.

In math we are talking about place value. Place value is the TENS and ONES in a number.

47 has 4 groups of ten and 7 ones.

86 has 8 groups of ten and 6 ones.

34 has 3 groups of ten and 4 ones.

Next week we are collecting PLASTIC BAGS to be recycled!!!

Our class wants to collect 100 bags.

For science, we wrote books introducing people to our hands, feet, brain, eyes, hair, leg and nose. They are funny!!

Next week is going to be fantastic!
