Blogging with the Girls

The class is having their halloween party so WE get to blog. 

The "we" is Sophia, Brooke, Katey and obviously... Ms. Minion (Ms. Moffatt)! 

Yesterday we made orange creatures! We used oranges and pipe cleaners and sharpies. We also made cats. We coloured with crayons HARD and then we painted with black paint and then we scratched it with a paint brush. 

We counted all the plastic bags. It took half an hour BUT were done. 

We also wrote what Ms. Moffatt should be for halloween! 

We did Halloween math centres! 

WE GOT 3402 BAGS!!

Popcorn Rocks!

This week we did our popcorn 5 senses.

Popcorn looks... fluffy, foamy, like a pillow, cloudy

Popcorn smells... good, buttery, hot

Popcorn tastes... buttery, salty, yummy

Popcorn sounds... poppy, crunchy, like its exploding

Popcorn feels... foamy, squishy, hot, buttery, weird

All week have been collecting plastic bags. We collected 363 bags in room 10!!! The whole school collected over 3000 bags! WOW!! Thats a lot of bags!! We are collecting them to be recycled because if we don't, they could go into the pacific garbage patch and harm animals.

Tomorrow is NO SCHOOL so we get a 3 day weekend!! 

For writing, we are working on small moment writing, halloween writing and writing a beginning that will HOOK our reader!
