Welcome Fall!

This week was fantastic because we all kinds of stuff.

We made scrapbooks using pictures of us and our family and our friends. Then we wrote about us and our family. They look awesome, wonderful, spectacular! (I will post a picture of them once I get them up on the bulletin board!)

We finished reading the book Freckle Juice. In the end, the teacher said Andrew looked fine the way he is without freckles! Then we made our own recipe for FRECKLE JUICE!
Some of our ingredients were... fish, apple juice, candy, eggs, onions, bear paws, a gorilla, lemon, garlic and other GROSS things!!! Then we drew our selves with FRECKLES!!

We did math with counting and patterning and numbers! Lots and lots of MATH!

We raised money for Terry Fox! We $25 dollars for Terry Fox! Did you know Terry Fox lived in WINNIPEG? We did a relay for Terry. We got tattoos for Terry.

Time our Friday Funnies!
Have a great weekend!

Another Great Week!

This week was fun.

We worked on the numbers in our life some more. We realized there are lots of numbers about us!

This week we wrote about where would we go if we went into Skippy Jon's closet!!! We made closet doors that open! We would go to... candy land, the ocean, Vancouver, Lego land, a meadow of horses, Africa and many other fun places!!

Today we started our scrapbooks!! We picked our colours and papers and organized our pictures!! We are ready to go for Monday =)

Today was our first library class with Mrs. Nelson! It was fun.

Right now we started a new chapter book... FRECKLE JUICE!!
It's about a boy who doesn't have freckles but he WANTS freckles so he buys a secret recipe for FRECKLES. The ingredients are GROSS like ketchup, grape juice mayonnaise, salt and pepper, lemon juice and ONIONS! It's a good book.

Have a great weekend!

Our School is Awesome!

Our week was fabulous!

This week we liked making number people. We used numbers like 7, 3, 5... Numbers in our LIFE!

This week we have been reading Skippy Jon Jones! He is a troublemaker because he gets into trouble in his closet! When he goes in his closet, he goes everywhere. He's using his imagination!!
He drew what we would see if we bounced in front of the mirror!
Kaden would see himself as an apple!
Madden would see himself as a banana!
Chloe would see herself as a cheetah/zebra.
Sophia would see herself as a unicorn!

We came up with words to describe Skippy Jon Jones. THEN we came up with words to describe ourselves!!!
We are.... funny, cute, awesome, nice, kind, happy, respectful and SO MUCH MORE!!!

We had fun together!!

Let the countdown begin...

Just hours remain until I get to meet my lovely class for this year! I am sure the kids are just as excited as I am to begin our amazing year together! I've spent the last two weeks building a wonderful and welcoming classroom for us - my favourite is definitely the library area! It is a very cozy reading area.

I have a feeling "this year is going to be sweet!"
