Kindness

This week was the Great Kindness Challenge. We were kind and if you were caught you got a ticket to enter a draw to win a prize! Our class had 4 winners - Dreden, Katey, Abby and Cody. We had lots of fun dress up days for kindness week.

We made a bulletin board about whether you would rather live in the city or in the country. There were 4 people who would pick the city and the rest of the class picked the country.

We did a science experiment with trying to dissolve things! We learned pennies, pepper, and chocolate chips do not dissolve but sugar, salt and flour dissolved. These are all types of solids!

This week we wrote our own snowman stories! Stayed tuned to read each of our snowman stories!

Have a great LONG weekend - remember, no school Monday! Tuesday is also early dismissal.

Room 10s Update

This week was fantastic.

We did snowman books and the titles were Snowman at Night, at work, at Christmas and all year!
Now we are going to write our own snowman stories!
Today we had an assembly and we did our water cycle song and did a little "thing" about water!
Ask me to sing our song!

We did new math centers this week too! Today was the last day!
We have a new adult in our room - Mrs. Schyretski!

Have a great weekend!

This week was fantastic!

This week we had our first day back at school for 2015!

Today the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra performed for us!

We learned how much drops of water a penny could hold - - the most was 59 drops!!
Then we tested a nickel and a quarter! They didn't hold as much as a penny!

We made new years goals!
Maddy's goal was to skate faster and to take her time to write slower!
Sophia's goal was to practice cartwheels in gymnastics and reading books with higher levels.
Emery's goal was to raise the puck higher and getting better on his printing!
And many more goals....

Yesterday we made firework art! We took paint on a paper and blow it with a straw and it makes like a firework. Then we cut out buildings to look like a city with fireworks in the background.

In math we are working on lots of SKIP COUNTING!! Forwards, backwards, upside down......
We are also doing number line math! We are adding big numbers.

We love all the viewers.
Have a great weekend!
