Earth Week

We are currently 996 views and we are hoping to break 1000 next week! Thank you for always look at our blog! We love it!

This week we made clay animals and clay habitats for our animals!

This week was Earth Week! We made litter bugs out of clay, tissue paper, recyclable materials and lots of scrap paper! They turned out awesome! We also watched the Lorax and made our own earth promises! We glued them onto the back our earth - - we also made hands because the earth is in our hands and we have to protect it!

For math centres, we did iPad Jets math and we had to add up jersey numbers like....
Ladd (16) + Wheeler (26) = 42
Frolik (67) + Pardy (2) = 69
Buff (33) + Halischuk (15) = 48
One of the other centres was race to $500 where you had to roll a dice, take the bill and keep adding until you get $500!

Remember - no school Friday so have a great LONG weekend!

Meet Andrew Ladd...

This week we worked on our animal research projects. Today we are finishing them by making a poster with our animal facts and pictures! We are excited to finish them!

We made Andrew Ladd math people. We looked up information about him like how many goals he scored, what teams he played on, how old he is and other fun facts. It was fun!

We had a white-out day yesterday in support of the Winnipeg Jets play off game! We also danced and listened to the Jets Anthem!

We had a presentation on Water with Mary Melnychuk and she talked about how we can save water!

In Music, the choir got a trophy for getting a gold medal at their performance! Hooray Choir!

Have a great weekend!

Northern Lights

We watched a movie called the Arctic tail. It was about a polar bear cub and a walrus pup. We got to see how they grow, how they eat and hunt, and act in the wild! It was great! We thought it was funny when the walrus' were burping and farting!!

During our study of Nunvaut, we studied the northern lights! Did you know they come from the sun and they're made of gas!

In science we are doing a research project on our very own animal!!
Stay tuned for updates!!

In math we did centers with money and lots of numbers! We also made a flower wall with numbers!

What a great week!
